Product overview
The BL3085 is a half-duplex RS-485 transceiver with one drive and one receiver inside the chip.
The BL3085 uses a swing rate limited driver that significantly reduces EMI and reflections due to inappropriate terminal-matching cables, and enables error-free data transfer up to 500kbps (5V powered). The BL3085 has a built-in fail-safe circuit to ensure that the receiver output is in a logical high state when the receiver input is open or short circuited.
The BL3085 receiver input impedance is 1/8 unit load, allowing up to 256 transceivers to be attached to the bus for half-duplex communication. The BL3085 I/O pin has ±15kV IEC 61000-4-2 contact discharge protection.
